What better way to celebrate spring than with a free ice cream cone?

Dairy Queen announced stores (excluding DQs in malls) will be giving away one free small vanilla soft-serve cone all day long on March 20.

Dubbed “Free Cone Day”, the fast-food company uses this day to collect donations for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a group of about 170 hospitals across the US and Canada that treat more than 32 million children every year.

Over the last 30 years, Dairy Queen has raised more than $100 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

American Dairy Queen Corporation’s executive vice president of marketing, Barry Westrum said, “We can’t think of a better way to show our appreciation to fans, kick off the spring season and support such an amazing cause than with a Free Cone Day.”

So grab a few friends next Monday, and make a small donation to DQ’s favorite charity. You’ll be sweetly rewarded.
