Hot dogs, peanuts and Cracker Jack are just too plain, so teams are constantly adding new menu items to capture customers’ money. And 2018 is no different for ballpark foods.
Here’s a look at some of the most interesting dishes being rolled out across Major League Baseball this season.
The Dilly Dog
The Texas Rangers shoved a hot dog inside of a hollowed-out pickle. It’s then covered in batter and deep fried.

The Rangers also have the Triple B sandwich — bacon, brisket and bologna topped with BBQ sauce, as well as Ham Fries, which is ham cut in the shape of fries and, well, fried. And a bacon-wrapped hot dog covered in Cheetos and jalapeno peppers.
The Rocky Mountain Po’boy
We’re not sure if anybody is brave enough to try this out:

The Spec-Tater
The Atlanta Braves took a bacon-wrapped giant potato and stuffed it with a jalapeno cheddar sausage. That’s covered in cheese, sour cream, scallions and jalapenos.

The Cheeto-lote
The Los Angeles Dodgers made this last year as a special item, and now it’s a full-time offering. It’s an ear of roasted sweet corn covered in chipotle lime mayonnaise, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos crumbs, cotija cheese and tajin seasoning.

Toasted Grasshoppers
Who hasn’t been to the ballpark and thought, boy, I’d really love to chow down on some insects? Well, if you’re at the Seattle Mariners park, you can bug your friends or family and get them.

Beer foam art
The one that got away: Blue Point Brewery at the New York Yankees’ stadium was all set to feature beer foam art until MLB gave word that it was prohibited. The machine used to make the images was originally designed for coffee foam images.
