Forget to thaw the turkey? Traveling for work? Family 3,000 miles away?

Whatever your reasons for not gorging on a home-cooked meal, rest assured that there are plenty of fast-food and sit down restaurants ready and waiting for you to stop by on Thanksgiving Day. Here is a list of some of them — just in case you need back-up:

Applebee’s

Call ahead just to confirm your specific location, but many Applebee’s locations will be open throughout the day and into the evening. They do have turkey options on the menu, so even if you just hate cooking, you may opt for Applebee’s.

Bahama Breeze

Give your Thanksgiving Day a dose of Caribbean-style fun. Thanksgiving menu items will be served with a tropical twist. Then wash it all down with something fruity from the yummy cocktail menu.

Bob Evans

If you want to avoid the hassle of all those side dishes, consider the Bob Evan’s Farmhouse Feast, Turkey Farmhouse Feast, or Premium Farmhouse Feast. Each meal serves either four or eight guests and start at $50. Call ahead to make sure your location is ready for your order.

Boston Market

The everyday menu at Boston Market is basically Thanksgiving dinner, so it’s an easy choice if you love traditional Turkey Day fare. Boston Market will even be serving meals special for the holiday.

Buca di Beppo

Because Italian is never a bad idea, Buca is available to make your Thanksgiving memories extra saucy this year. The Thanksgiving feast menu includes everything from the turkey to the pie. Most locations will open at 11 a.m., and will cater to pick-up, delivery, or dining in.

Cracker Barrel

Need to eat out on Thanksgiving Day? You’re not alone. The holiday is reported the busiest day of the entire year.

Denny’s

Holidays at Denny’s are the stuff comedy movies are made of. But, hey! It’s cheap, tasty, they serve traditional Thanksgiving items, and it’s always open… Like, really. It’s always open.

Domino’s

If turkey just isn’t your thing, there’s always pizza! Make sure to call ahead before you base your Thanksgiving Day plans off of delivery. Most locations will be open on the holiday, but possibly not all.

IHOP

Get the family out of the house while you cook the feast by sending them to IHOP for some pumpkin spice pancakes.

Legal Sea Foods

Legal Seafood will be offering many standard menu items as well as a classic Thanksgiving dinner for $25 per person and $9 for children 12 and under. Reservations are recommended.

McDonald’s

Most McDonald’s will stay open on Thanksgiving Day, but many will have shortened hours. If your idea of a feast is a few Big Macs, make sure to call ahead.

Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday will be serving their regular menu on Thanksgiving Day.

Starbucks

Just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean you want to skip the caffeine. In fact, visiting mother-in-laws and excited little ones make it all the more needed.

TGI Fridays

If you’ve botched the holiday meal too bad to save, head to TGI Friday’s. Most locations will be open, though hours will vary.

Waffle House

Every location will be open 24/7, as per the usual.

White castle

Spending the holiday alone this year? Scoop up a couple sacks of turkey burgers and call it a day! No messy kitchen, just deliciousness.
