Is there a single food out there that isn’t made infinitely more delicious by adding hot sauce? You probably put it on everything from enchiladas to egg rolls. Tabasco celebrates 150 years with hot sauce in champagne bottles

If you really want to class up your meals, and a regular bottle of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce or Sriracha won’t cut it, you might want to consider a celebratory offering from Tabasco. The McIlhenny Company is marking its 150th anniversary with a special edition bottle of Tabasco Diamond Reserve Sauce. The six-ounce bottle retails for $34.95. Here’s how the company describes it: It’s “made from a selection of the finest tabasco peppers on Avery Island, chosen for their superior color, texture and robustness. These peppers are mashed with a small amount of salt, then aged โ€” some for up to 15 years โ€” and blended with sparkling white wine vinegar. The resulting pepper sauce has exceptional complexity, while maintaining the signature flavor and vibrancy.” The company produces 750,000 bottles of product (of its regular varieties) every day from its Louisiana facility, according to the Guardian.
