Halloween has come and gone, but with Christmas right around the corner, we’re still living in the season of sweets. Americans eat more than 16 billion jelly beans every year on Easter, and while some people happily gobble them down by the handful, others are more particular about their flavor choices. Candystore.com analyzed more than 10 years of sales data as well as SurveryMonkey and Facebook polls of more than 12,000 candy consumers to determine the most loved flavor in each of the 50 states and the most loved flavors overall. With the results in, it’s clear that Buttered Popcorn is America’s favorite jelly bean flavor. It’s smooth, salty flavor is an interesting cross of savory and sweet. Most popular Halloween candy in each state

Americans will spend $2.7 billion on Halloween candy this year, as estimated by the National Retail Federation. But what sweet treats you get in your loot bag will largely depend on where you live. Online bulk candy retailer Candystore.com combed through 10 years (2007-2016) of sales data to tell us what the best sellers in every state are in the weeks leading up to Halloween. They created this interactive map to show you the most popular candies, by sales, in each state — actually the top three. This map, of course, is limited to online candy sales, but it gives us a peek into what Halloween candy is popular where.
