Snoop Dogg now holds World Record for largest Gin & Juice

https://www.facebook.com/WilliamsSonoma/videos/10156400220704812/ Snoop Dogg’s 1993 hit Gin & Juice is a timeless hiphop hit, so it’s only fitting that the Doggfather himself now holds the record for mixing up the world’s largest cocktail. The massive mixed drink debuted at the Bottlerock Festival in Napa Valley, CA. Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio and rapper Warren G. were also on hand to help make the colossal cocktail. https://www.instagram.com/p/BjSljxEAXNS/?utm_source=ig_embed Snoop and friends used 180 1.75-liter bottles of gin, 156 1-liter bottles of apricot brandy, and 28 3.78-liter jugs of orange juice to win the Guinness World Record title of “World’s Largest Paradise Cocktail.”  There isn’t a category for biggest cocktails in general, but Snoop’s creation would take that title as well. Total, the gigantic gin & juice was made of more than 132 gallons of booze. A giant straw and pink umbrella topped it all off. The feat comes 25 years after Snoop’s hit was released. Berlin chef bakes cheesiest pizza in the world with 111 different types of cheese

You may think you love cheese pizza, but that three cheese pizza you ordered last night — it’s mere child’s play to the impressive feat of formage one restaurant whipped up last month. A Berlin restaurant created a pie topped with an astounding 111 different types of cheese. It officially earned the title of world’s cheesiest pizza and a place in the Guinness World Record books. According to Guinness officials, the finished pizza included mozzarella, Leicestershire red, Emmental, Comte, and Raclette among dozens of others. https://youtu.be/dHlw2P819NE If you’re imagining a giant pizza, one big enough to hold lots of shredded dairy, you’ll be forgiven. The chef pulled off the feat with a regular-sized pie, just a few centimeters bigger than your usual take-out order. All 111 cheeses were painstakingly weighed so that just 2.6g of each type were included. All told, it had a whopping 288.6 grams of cheese within the walls of the crust. After…

Fans will eat 1.35 billion wings on Super Bowl Sunday

The Super Bowl is supposed to be a day about football, but we really know it’s really an excuse to chow down. While what food you eat during the big game is largely determined by where you live, there’s one food that flies above all others nationwide: chicken wings. According to the National Chicken Council, more wings will be consumed this weekend than ever before on Super Bowl weekend. Fans will eat 1.35 billion wings on Feb. 4 as the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots battle for the Lombardi Trophy. That number is up 1.5 percent — 20 million wings — from last year. “There will be no wing shortage,” said Chicken Council spokesperson Tom Super. “Although we do anticipate an uptick in chicken cheesesteaks.” To visualize just how many wings that is, imagine 625 wings piled on every seat in all 32 NFL stadiums. Or better yet, lay them…

“The Rock” uses cereal to claim his 5th Guinness World Record

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is known for his bulging muscles as much as he is for his tough-guy roles in Blockbusters like San Andreas, the Fast and the Furious and Hercules. The towering 6ft. 4in. a-list actor and WWE star’s diet consists of more than 10 pounds of food each day, so you might be forgiven if you thought his recent Guinness World Record was for something like crushing a boulder or lifting a semi-truck. But you’d be wrong — He used cereal. Johnson’s production company, Seven Bucks Digital Studios, created a domino maze using 3,006 cereal boxes. The boxes were lined up in connected rows so they would fall in a continuous stream and create a form of culinary optical eye candy. The previous record was 2,686 cereal boxes. According to the Guinness World Records guidelines, the cereal boxes used need to be commercially available and cannot be tampered with or altered in any…
