Oreo unveils hot chicken wing and wasabi flavors … but only in China

The maker of Oreo cookies has been busy unleashing new flavors on the marketplace, but they’ve all veered to the sweet side. Take, for example, the Chocoate Peanut Butter Pie, Rocky Road Trip, Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake, or Apple Pie currently on shelves. (That’s if they’re still in stores, as some are introduced as limited editions.) And Peppermint Bark will come out later in time for the holidays, which means they’ll be out in September with the rest of Christmas creep. Previous flavors have included Kettle Corn, Cherry Cola, Peeps and Hot and Spicy Cinnamon, just to name a few of the dozens. But the taste vocabulary has all changed with two new releases in China. The two new flavors are Hot Chicken Wing and Wasabi. Edible cookie dough 2 ways

There are two kinds of people in the world — those who can’t wait for warm cookies to come out of the oven and those who have no dough left when it’s time to make those cookies. If you’re part of the better half, try this recipe below. It’s completely safe to eat since it has no eggs, and it can keep for a few days if properly refrigerated. Cookie Dough Ingredients Servings: 4-6  2 cups flour 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup butter, softened 2 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon salt Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350˚F. 2. Spread flour on a baking tray and bake for 5 minutes — this kills bacteria. 3. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk and salt. 4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then separate into 2 sections (or more if you want to make more varieties!). 5. Enjoy! Chocolate Chip M&Ms Cookie…

20 Snack Foods You Didn’t Know Were Vegan

Just because you’re vegan, doesn’t mean you can’t indulge. More people are attempting vegan lifestyles than ever before. Living the vegan way means no dairy, eggs, meat, honey, leather or anything that’s a byproduct of animals, but the number of vegan products and substitutes is on the rise, making the switch easier than ever. But just because you’re vegan doesn’t mean you have to get excited over celery sticks when your friends are savoring Sour Patch Kids. Life would be way less fun if you could never share in snacking with friends or family. Here are a handful of acceptable vegan treats — only because they’re animal-friendly (definitely no health claims here). These foods are almost certainly vegan on accident, but that doesn’t mean they don’t count! 1. Sun Chips Original These wavy, square chips are a staple in many vending machines and can save vegans in a hunger pinch. 2. Oreos The classic…

Sneak Peep: New Easter themed Oreo flavor hatching soon

Most of us have grown up with Oreo, dunking or twisting those chocolate cookies into ice cold milk. We may have had childhood disputes as to the best way to eat the classic sandwich cookie. Do you go for the cream first and save the cookie for last? Do you just scarf the whole thing down? Since their creation in 1912, Oreos were mostly consistent. The brand only occasionally ventured into product variations. Double Stuf Oreos offered us extra cream in the 70s. Then the 80s brought us a fudge covered cookie. Oreo celebrated Halloween and Christmas in the 90s with special orange or red colored cream. (Siiiiigh) Those were simpler times. Recently, Oreo has been unleashing a new flavor every few months. Most of the time, they’re delicious. Red Velvet, Cinnamon Bun and S’mores are just a few. Some are more questionable (Think: Watermelon and Cotton Candy). This spring, Peep-flavored Oreos are hitting the shelves,…
