The most popular brunch food in every state

Can anyone honestly say they don’t love a good brunch? Brunch is the meeting point of everything we love about sweet and savory. It allows us to have smoked salmon with our scones and mimosa with our muffins. Whether it’s booze-filled, savory or just filled with stacks of homemade pancakes and fresh fruit, there really is no wrong way to brunch. Pinterest recently compiled the most-search brunch recipes by state. It gives us a little insight as to what’s people are craving across the country. While it’s no surprise Arizona favors breakfast tostadas and Alaska its smoked salmon, others are a bit more unexpected. Iowa and Pennsylvania basically head for dessert table first with their peanut butter bars and thumbprint cookies, respectively, while Colorado (paleo breakfast) can’t seem to let itself splurge. And New York is trying to make breakfast risotto become a thing. Stay tuned to see if that one catches on… Perhaps the most delicious place to…

Easy Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

While pumpkin pie, the king of fall foods, isn’t exactly a breakfast mom would approve of, you can still satisfy your morning sweet tooth without the guilt — or the gluten. These pumpkin pancakes are quick and easy, but they are also quite impressive. You’ll create an instant family favorite, guaranteed.  Not gluten-free? Substitute any quick-ready pancake mix you choose. This recipe leaves lots of room for customization — my favorite part of cooking. Top these pumpkin beauties with warm, sliced apples, cinnamon and walnuts, chocolate chips or even sliced peaches if you’re making them early enough in the season. These gluten-free pancakes freeze really well, so go ahead and double the batch. As you work with the ingredients, remember you want the batter to be pourable, but not runny. It should run off a spoon, but not spread too quickly in the pan. Easy Gluten-free Pumpkin Spice Pancakes Serves 2-3; Time: 10…

Clear coffee promises not to stain your teeth

Imagine all the benefits of coffee without the worry of stains. Well, check this one off your list: We now have the world’s first colorless coffee beverage. (And you didn’t think technology was moving fast enough.) The beverage, CLR CFF, was developed by Slovakian brothers David and Adam Nagy while they were living in London. “We are heavy coffee drinkers,” Adam tells London’s Evening Standard. “Like many other people we struggled with the teeth stains caused by it. There was nothing on the market that would suit our needs so we decided to create our own recipe. “Because of the hectic lifestyle we lead, we wanted to make a refreshing ready-to-drink coffee which provides the boost but is low in calories.” Of course, just as important as keeping up their caffeine intake — the colorless drink will help a lot of us not waste the money we spend on keeping our pearly…
